Marinara with Spaghetti

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound spaghetti

Make It

1. Heat oil in medium-size saucepan over low heat. Add onion and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, 20 minutes or until onion is softened, making sure garlic doesn't burn. Add tomatoes, parsley, basil, salt and pepper. Bring to boiling; reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, 20 minutes.

2. Cook spaghetti in large pot of lightly salted boiling water until firm but tender. Drain. Serve sauce over spaghetti. Makes 6 servings.
