Greek Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground lamb or turkey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Make It

1. Heat the oven to 350 degrees . Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray.

2. In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients and stir well. Working with 1 tablespoon at a time, form the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls, arranging them on the prepared baking sheet.

3. Bake the meatballs until they reach 160 degrees at the center, about 15 minutes. Brown them under the broiler for about 5 minutes. Serve them warm.
