German Chocolate Bar Cookies

  • 1 1/2 boxes (9 oz each) Nabisco Famous chocolate wafers
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 bag (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/4 cups sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Make It

1. Heat oven to 350 degrees . Line a 13 x 9-inch baking pan with nonstick aluminum foil.

2. Pulse wafers in a food processor until very fine crumbs. Transfer to a bowl and stir in melted butter until well combined. Press mixture firmly and evenly (the flat side of a measuring cup works well) into foil-lined pan. Pour condensed milk evenly over crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chips, followed by coconut and finally pecans.

3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool completely. Refrigerate 2 hours. Remove from pan by lifting foil and place on a cutting board. Cut into 36 pieces.
