strawberry margarita

  • 3/4 cup tequila
  • 3/4 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, stems removed if fresh
  • 1/3 cup triple sec
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup mint syrup (recipe below)
  • 1/4 cup loosely packed mint leaves, plus more to garnish

Make It

1. Combine 4 cups ice, tequila, strawberries, triple sec, lime juice, mint syrup and mint leaves in a blender. Cover and pulse until ice is crushed and all ingredients are well blended. Divide equally among 4 glasses. Serve chilled, garnished with mint.

3. In a small saucepan, combine 3/4 cup each sugar and water. Bring to boiling over medium-high heat; boil 2 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon mint extract; use in either the Strawberry Margarita or berry Sparkler recipe.
