Ingredient Checklist

Instructions Checklist
  • Place 8 store-bought dark chocolate mini donuts on a large parchment paper-covered baking sheet; set aside. Place 1/2 cup Halloween-themed sprinkles into a shallow bowl or dish; set aside.

  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup confectioner's sugar with 1 1/2 Tbs. cocoa powder until thoroughly combined. Add 1 Tbs. whole milk a little at a time and whisk into the dry mixture. Slowly whisk in 1 1/2 tsp. water until the glaze is thick and shiny.

  • Dip the tops of each donut into the glaze, then dip into the sprinkles. Add edible candy eyes (such as Wilton brand) while glaze is still slightly wet. Set aside on the baking sheet while you finish remaining donuts. Break pretzel sticks in half. Add legs by poking 4 pretzel halves into both sides of each donut. Makes 8 servings.

Using mini donuts, decorate in the same manner, but use small lengths of black rope licorice for the legs.

Party On!

These creepy crawlies are ideal for a school or child-care celebration since they're nut-and sesame-free. Just double or triple the recipe; they'll still come together quickly.
