September Cupcake
Yield: 16 cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 ounces) plus 1 cup vanilla frosting
  • Red icing color
  • green icing color
  • 16 cupcakes
  • Green sprinkles
  • 16 mini cupcakes
  • Tootsie Rolls
  • White decorating icing

Make It

1. Tint 1 cup frosting red. Tint remaining frosting green. Spoon 1/4 cup green frosting into a resealable plastic bag. Spread tops of larger cupcakes with green frosting. Roll edges in green sprinkles. Spread mini cupcakes with red frosting. Cut and shape small pieces of Tootsie Rolls to make apple stems. Pipe "A+" on tops of mini cupcakes with decorating icing. Place mini cupcakes on their sides on top of larger cupcakes. Insert apple stems. Snip corner from bagged green frosting, and pipe leaves next to stems.
