  • Make Toffee Triangles Cookie dough (on www.familycircle.com) with following changes: Replace brown sugar with granulated sugar and reduce to 1/2 cup; beat 2 tablespoons poppy seeds into butter mixture along with flour.

  • For each cookie, roll 1 tablespoonful dough into ball (2-1/2 dozen total). Roll balls in small bowl of granulated sugar. Place balls, 1 inch apart, on ungreased baking sheet. With floured thumb, make indentation in top of each one.

  • Bake in 350 degree F oven 15 minutes or until set. Transfer thumbprints to wire rack and let cool completely.

Topping:
  • To serve, fill each thumbprint with about 1/2 teaspoon bottled lemon curd. Refrigerate filled cookies for up to 1 week. Makes about 2-1/2 dozen.
