Prepare Basic Holiday Cookie (www.familycircle.com) dough, with the following changes: Substitute rum extract for vanilla; stir glacéed pineapple and shredded coconut into dough. Wrap in plastic; refrigerate until well chilled.
For each cookie, drop rounded teaspoon of dough onto baking sheets. Top each cookie with half glacéed cherry. Bake in 350°F oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
