You'll need a cookie press to make these buttery spritz cookies. Look for small red candies to use as berries for these holiday wreaths.
Heat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, beat together butter, sugar, egg and salt until fluffy, 3 minutes. On low speed, beat in flour until smooth. Tint pale green with food coloring.
Spoon dough into cookie press fitted with standard wreath disk, following manufacturers directions. Press out wreaths onto large baking sheets, spacing cookies about 3/4 inch apart. Before baking, press in candy berries or confetti, if desired.
Bake cookies at 350°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until slightly puffed and set. Transfer cookies directly to racks to cool.
In a bowl, whisk confectioners sugar and 4 teaspoons water. Brush over cookies; top immediately with green sugar. Let dry 15 minutes before stacking.
