Ingredients

  • Basic Holiday Cookie dough
  • 2/3 cup packed dark-brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

Make It

1. Prepare Basic Holiday Cookie (on www.familycircle.com) dough, with the following changes: Substitute 2/3 cup packed dark-brown sugar for all the granulated sugar; stir 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans into dough.

2. Shape the dough into two 11-inch rolls. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate until well chilled. Cut into 1/4-inch slices. Place on baking sheets. Bake in 350 degrees F oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
