1. Cut one small orange or tangerine into 8 slices. Tuck under skin of 8 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs. Brush with 1 Tbs. olive oil and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Broil 4 to 5 in. from the heat for about 25 minutes, turning once halfway through. Squeeze 1/4 cup orange juice over thighs.
