Crunchy Oven-Baked Nuggets

  • 3 cups cornflakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 pound chicken tenders, cut into nugget shapes

Make It

1. Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Place cornflakes in large resealable plastic bag. Lay bag flat on surface, and using rolling pin, crush cornflakes.

2. Combine cornflakes, poultry seasoning, pepper, and salt in shallow bowl.

3. In separate bowl, whisk together egg, milk, and Tabasco sauce. Add several chicken nuggets at a time to egg mixture, coating well. Dredge and roll in cornflake mixture. Place on foil-lined baking sheet. Generously spray chicken pieces on both sides with vegetable cooking spray. Bake nuggets for 15 to 18 minutes, or until cooked through.


  • This recipe can be doubled or tripled and then frozen. To reheat frozen nuggets, heat oven to 350 degrees F, place nuggets on baking sheet, and cook 10 to 12 minutes.)
