Line bottom and sides of an 8-inch square pan with foil. Coat with cooking spray.
Combine cereal, almonds and cherries in a large bowl.
Combine syrup and almond butter in a small saucepan. Heat over medium until smooth and cohesive, 3 to 5 minutes.
Pour syrup mixture over cereal mixture and stir to coat. Scrape the mixture into the foil-lined pan and press evenly. Chill for at least 1 hour. Cut into squares.
