Milk Chocolate Butter Cream Frosting

  • 1 cup milk chocolate (not semisweet) pieces
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter or margarine, at room temperature
  • 4 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups sifted confectioners sugar

Make It

1. Melt chocolate in small, heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally until melted and smooth. Cool slightly.

2. Combine butter, chocolate, milk, vanilla and salt in bowl. Add 1 cup of the 3 cups sugar; beat until creamy. Gradually beat in remaining sugar until good spreading consistency. Makes about 2-1/2 cups.
