  • Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in bowl. Add shortening; using fingertips, rub the flour and shortening together to make little crumbs. Stir in milk with fork to make sticky dough.

  • Transfer dough to well-floured board. With floured hands, knead dough about 10 times. Pat into 9-inch circle. Using a 2-inch round cookie cutter, cut out biscuits. Place biscuits in baking pan. (Arrange with sides touching for softer sides, apart for crisper sides.)
