Makes: about 2 dozen biscuits.Prep: 15 minutes. Bake: at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Heat oven to 425°F. Grease 15 x 10-inch baking pan.
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in bowl. Add shortening; using fingertips, rub the flour and shortening together to make little crumbs. Stir in milk with fork to make sticky dough.
Transfer dough to well-floured board. With floured hands, knead dough about 10 times. Pat into 9-inch circle. Using a 2-inch round cookie cutter, cut out biscuits. Place biscuits in baking pan. (Arrange with sides touching for softer sides, apart for crisper sides.)
Bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuits are nicely golden on top.
