Belgian Waffles with Nectarines, Berries and Cream

Turn frozen waffles into a quick and easy dessert when you top them with summer fruits and whipped cream.

Belgian Waffles with Nectarines, Berries, and Cream

  • 1/2 cup frozen blackberries, thawed
  • 2 medium-size nectarines, pitted and thinly sliced
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 8 frozen waffles
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream, whipped OR: 1 cup nondairy whipped topping

Make It

1. Place blackberries in medium-size bowl; mash lightly with a fork. Add nectarines, sugar and lemon juice; toss together until well combined. Cover with plastic wrap; set aside for 10 minutes or up to 2 hours.

2. Toast waffles until crisp.

3. To serve, place 2 waffles on each dessert plate. Spoon on one-quarter of the fruit mixture. Top each with dollop of whipped cream.
