Combine cardamom, ginger, curry powder, cumin and black pepper in small bowl. Heat oil in small skillet over medium-low heat. Add spice mixture; cook, stirring, about 1 minute or until lightly browned. Do not let spices burn. Let cool briefly.
Stir together spices, yogurt, garlic and salt in medium-size bowl. Add beef; stir to coat. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate for at least 12 hours.
Heat broiler or prepare medium-hot coals in barbecue. Loosely thread beef cubes, pepper and cherry tomatoes on 4 metal skewers.
Broil the skewers about 3 inches from heat, turning 2 to 3 times, for about 10 minutes for medium-cooked beef, or less or longer for desired doneness. Makes 4 servings.
