Fusilli with All-American BBQ Beef Sauce

  • 1 pound fusilli
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 pound ground beef round
  • 1/4 cup bottled barbecue sauce
  • 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) crushed tomatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid red-pepper seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)

Make It

1. Cook pasta.

2. Heat the oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook for 1 minute. Add Worcestershire sauce; cover and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until onion is softened. Add beef; saute, uncovered, breaking up with a wooden spoon, for 3 minutes or until meat is no longer pink. Stir in barbecue sauce, crushed tomatoes and red-pepper seasoning; cook for 3 minutes.

3. Pour hot sauce over hot cooked pasta on serving platter. Top with Cheddar cheese.
