Chopped bacon gives smoky flavor to this spicy budget-minded chili. Use the biscuits to soak up every last drop.
In large saucepan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add bacon; sauté 3 minutes. Add onion and peppers; sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes and their juice, chili powder, cumin, oregano, garlic salt and beans; stir to combine. Simmer 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, bake biscuits as directed. Serve with chili if desired. Makes 12 servings.
