Sugar & Spice Nuts
Yield: 5 cups Prep 10 mins Bake 375°F 20 mins


  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 cup whole almonds, with skins
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1 cup walnut halves
  • 1 cup cashews
  • 1 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Make It

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease large jelly-roll pan.

2. Beat the egg whites in large bowl until very frothy. Stir in the almonds, pecans, walnuts, cashews, peanuts, 1/4 cup of the sugar, cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg; toss until the nuts are evenly coated. Spread the nuts in an even layer on prepared baking sheet.

3. Bake in preheated 375 degree F oven for 10 minutes or until coating is partially set. Stir in remaining 1/4 cup sugar until nuts are well coated. Bake 10 minutes longer or until nuts are golden brown. Transfer pan to wire rack to cool completely.
