Princess Tea Sandwiches

These little cheese, pear, and strawberry sandwiches make a nice snack or appetizer for a party.

Princess Tea Sandwiches
Yield: 12 open-face sandwiches


  • 12 slices party rye bread
  • 1/2 cup light semisoft cheese with garlic and herbs
  • 1 pear, cored and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup reduced-sugar strawberry preserves

Make It

1. Spread bread with cheese. Brush pear slices with lemon juice to prevent them from turning brown. Top cheese with preserves, then place 2 slices of pear to create a heart shape. If necessary, trim the rounded end of each pear slice to resemble a heart.
