Ingredients

  • 2 package (7 ounces each) farmers cheese
Lemon Cheese:
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Strips of lemon rind (no bitter white pith)
  • Chopped fresh parsley
Great Garlic Cheese:
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons dried rubbed sage
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red-wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • Cracked black pepper
  • Assorted bread party rounds and crackers

Make It

1. Unwrap the packages of the farmers cheese.

Prepare Lemon Cheese:

2. Place 1 package of the farmers cheese, the cream cheese, lemon rind, lemon juice, sugar, salt and pepper in food processor. Whirl until smooth. Scoop the cheese into a small serving bowl. Garnish with lemon rind and chopped fresh parsley.

Prepare Great Garlic Cheese:

3. Place the second package of farmers cheese, the cream cheese, sage, garlic, red-wine vinegar, salt and pepper in food processor. Whirl at high speed until smooth. Scoop the cheese into a small serving bowl. Garnish with cracked black pepper.

4. Serve the cheeses at room temperature with bread party rounds and crackers.
