  • Heat oven to 375°. In a small
    pot, combine butter, brown
    sugar and corn syrup over
    medium heat. Stir until butter
    is melted and mixture is
    smooth. Remove from heat.
    Stir in flour, almonds and salt
    until just combined.

  • Spoon teaspoonfuls of
    batter onto parchment-paperlined
    cookie sheets, spacing
    4 inches apart. Bake at 375°
    for 7 to 8 minutes, until
    bubbling and golden-brown.
    Let sit on baking sheets until
    firm, about 5 minutes.
    Carefully transfer to a wire
    rack to cool completely. (Bake
    in 2 batches, 2 sheets at a
    time.) Gently reheat batter if
    necessary for second batch.
