The zipper pull on the slipcovers can break, posing a choking hazard to young children. Also, the paint on the zippers contains excessive lead.
This recall involves about 38,000 velvet and boa slipcovers intended for use with the Boppy Bare Naked nursing and support pillow. Boppy Luxe slipcovers, which were sold in clear vinyl packages, were recalled due to a choking hazard. Boppy Soothing slipcovers, which were sold in display boxes, were recalled due to excessive levels of lead paint. See the chart below for UPC and date codes.
Slipcovers recalled due to choking hazard were sold at discount department stores nationwide from July 2006 through September 2007 for about $16.
