When it comes to parenting, if you don't laugh, you'll cry, right? And we definitely laughed at this mama's perspective on all things parenting.
A woman who describes herself on Instagram as the "mother to Irish Twins Zoey & Hazel" and "sleep deprived" is going viral for her hilarious take on pregnancy and parenting. Indeed, Maya, or as she is known on the photo sharing site, @mayavorderstrasse, is clearly having a great time finding the humor in even the most uncomfortable stages of pregnancy.
Like, the end.

Maya's trademark comedy utilizes a letter board to spell out relatable phrases—and acts them out (often with her hubby). "I was so tired of motherhood being portrayed as perfect, flawless and easy on social media, that I decided to embrace my chaotic life and just share it, in hopes of people relating to them and feeling better about not having it together!" she says. Her hubby is clearly a good sport, since some of the photos involve, um, torturing him.

But he (and every other partner to a pregnant lady) kinda deserves it, no?

The mama also recently shared an empowering post about delivering her second child. All the feels, right?
Praising our GOD in tears because just like that, our family is complete! Went into labor late at night on her due date, and after ONE push she greeted us with the sweetest cry and the most loving eyes. Welcome to the world, Hazel Marcela. * I will reply to all the messages and comments as soon as I can guys, thank you for all the love and patience. You guys are the best!! 💛

But now that she is a mom of two, Maya clearly hasn't lost her sense of humor, thankfully.

The reason she keeps doing the posts—even though she clearly has her hands full? "I want my kids to think back at their childhood and remember fun, exciting and loving moments," she says. "I look at them, take a deep breath or leave the room for a few seconds to get myself together and come back calm and ready to deal with anything that might be happening."
As a mom of three myself, I have long said that if you can't laugh at the challenges that come along with parenthood, you're doomed. So I applaud Maya for sharing her parenting struggles on Instagram in a way that makes us say, "We have so been there!" and also, that give us a little comic relief amid our own parenting pain.
I can't wait to see what she comes up with when her kiddos hit the terrible 2's!
