As if we needed another reason to love, love, love Adele! The soulful singing mama, who has always kept things super real when it comes to motherhood, recently admitted something about pregnancy not many of us would have the courage to: She actually grew a beard!
Did I mention Adele didn't simply whisper this embarrassing confession to a friend in private, but that she professed the cold, hard truth about her gestational facial hair to thousands of concertgoers at a Glasgow show?
Here's what she said, according to People magazine:
"When I got pregnant, I had so much testosterone in me that I grew a beard. I only cropped it last night. It's actually true. I'm not telling a joke. I actually have a beard, but I'm proud of it. I call it Larry."
Oh, Adele. You even named your pregnancy-induced 5'clock shadow? How do you just keep getting better and better?
Now it's time for a confession of my own: I (very often) find myself lip syncing to the star mom's latest hit "When We Were Young" while carpooling my kids here, there, and everywhere. And honestly, I have pretty much convinced myself I sound as good as her. I mean, this ballad really plays to my strengths.
Oh, then I turn down the music (at my daughter's insistence), and hear my real voice. Maybe I'm not quite "Adele good." But I'm not half bad for a minivan singing mama! Or at least that's what I choose to believe!
Did I mention I love Adele? And now Larry.
