Thriller pregnancy viral video

I'm not going to lie. I was so scared about what I'd find on the other side of my pregnancy — caring for two newborns as a clueless first-time mom! — that I wasn't eager to rush things, no matter how uncomfortable I felt at the end. (And it was a lot uncomfy.)

But I know that many people hit that late third-trimester wall and cannot wait to get that baby out! Some even take specific steps to try to make it happen sooner — spicy foods, long walks, sex, Thriller dance.

Say what?

Yes, one mom's hilarious quest to speed things along is going viral right now. On her due date, February 11, Bonnie Northsea, recorded herself in a pretty blue sports bra and lounge pants, with bare bump, dancing the famous moves to Michael Jackson's Thriller.

Her video struck a chord: After racking up 55,000 likes in 24 hours from her personal Facebook page, she posted it on YouTube — where it now has more than 1.6 million views! Evidently, that 40-week impatience really resonates.

And there's a bit more back story that makes the lighthearted video all the more special: In the video's description, mama writes, "My husband is fighting a battle with testicular cancer (just diagnosed a month ago) so it has been difficult emotionally recently. This video really helped as it has caused me to laugh over and over again."

It all just goes to show that laughter really is the best medicine — and a little rhythm never hurt either.
