The rapper's fans can't stop asking, "Is Cardi B pregnant?" after sources close to the 25-year-old said she and her fiancé, Offset, will welcome their first child this summer.

UPDATE (4/8/18): After months of speculation, Cardi B officially revealed that she and Migos rapper Offset are expecting their first child! The 25-year-old went public with her pregnancy during her SNL performance on Saturday, April 7. In a beautifully low-key move, the rapper took the stage for her second performance of the evening in a form-fitting white gown, her bump on full display.

According to People, Cardi then posted a video on social media with the caption, “I’m finally free!” nodding to the fact that she had just gone public with the big baby news. And after her set, she received a ton of applause from her team backstage.

Meanwhile, Offset took to Twitter to express his excitement, as well. “Cardi and I look forward to our next chapter together,” the rapper, who is already dad to three children from previous relationships, tweeted.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Original story follows:

Cardi B has been on a meteoric rise with an ever-growing career, and now, apparently, her family is growing, as well! News that Cardi B is pregnant hit the internet in a report on TMZ back on March 15, in which sources "close" to the rapper told the site that she's due the first week of July, expecting her first child with Migos rapper Offset.

The sources went onto say that Cardi will be about 7 months pregnant when she takes the stage at Coachella next month, she will continue working up until she gives birth, and that she's set to hit the road with Bruno Mars just two months after her due date.

This isn't the first time that insiders close to the rapper have piped up about the rumored pregnancy. "Cardi's people told nightclub staffers she's pregnant during Super Bowl weekend." At the time, the rapper herself denied it, as did Offset.

According to a new report in Page Six, the rumored mom-to-be is trying to figure out who's been spilling the beans. She believes "the leaker must have been someone close in her team, otherwise there was no way they could have that information.” Either way, the leak means she'll be revealing the pregnancy herself shortly, the gossip column concludes.

It's a shame that Cardi wasn't able to have complete control of sharing the news herself. There are so many reasons expectant moms may want to hold off on going public. Sure, someone like Cardi has unique challenges with this as the result of her success and fame, but no woman should be begrudged the level of privacy and individual timeline of disclosure that she feels is right for her.

For now, we'll just have to sit tight to see how and when Cardi confirms the buzz. With hope, the way she does it is on her own terms.
