I'm a sucker for love and romance, and that means I'm especially a sucker for any pregnancy announcement that involves a super sweet and excited dad-to-be, getting set to build the family with the partner he adores. That's why one Texas photo shoot has me in tears—and I dare you not to choke up too!

In the shoot, one couple executed on photographer Kendra Swalls' longtime vision for a surprise wife-to-hubby pregnancy announcement. In it, Kendra asked the couple, Camille and Kyle, to "try something new" for a photo idea. She gave each of them a piece of paper and a marker, and asked them to write a sweet note to their spouse. Kyle wrote a few sentences of love and adoration. Camille wrote something equally love-filled, but much more newsworthy: "We're having a baby!" Kendra captured all the wonderful moments that followed, with the thrilled and shocked dad-to-be.

So how did it all come about? Well, Kendra had the idea knocking around in her head for ages. She mentioned it to Camille during a pre-wedding session—and Camille actually remembered it when the time was right, sending Kendra a text message saying she was game! They arranged the session under the guise of a Christmas card shoot.

Kendra was as thrilled to capture the moment as the couple was to live it. "I loved everything about this session," she told me via email this morning. "Kyle and Camille were a blast to work with and I loved knowing that I was helping Camille pull off a fun surprise. I was nervous that he would think my idea to write a note to each other was strange and not play along, but he was a good sport and wrote a super sweet note of his own. As soon as they turned around and he realized what her sign said, the joy on his face was priceless. I am just happy the images were in focus because I was tearing up a little watching the joy between the two of them!"

Ditto over here!
