Scandal star Katie Lowes is going to be a mom! The actress, who plays Quinn Perkins alongside Kerry Washington's Olivia Pope, announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday, May 11 that she and her husband, actor Adam Shapiro, are expecting their first baby. The happy couple has been married since 2012.

The TV star also spilled, "It's a boy! We have zero names." Ha! Surely, the couple will land on the perfect pick soon.

Upon finding out that she was pregnant, Lowes, 35, says she told her Scandal boss Shonda Rhimes ASAP. But turns out, her big announcement already served to confirm what Rhimes had already suspected. "I told her five minutes from being pregnant," Lowes told Kimmel. "She already knew — she's a genius." Yep, sounds about right!

Obviously this means Scandal fans can look forward to seeing Quinn wearing super-hot tailored coats and flowy tops, like the ones her co-star Kerry Washington rocked during her pregnancies. (Or will Quinn get pregnant, too? With Charlie ... or Huck?! Surely a plot twist Shonda's considering, right?) At any rate, we can all look forward to even more adorableness from Lowes as her pregnancy progresses. Congrats to this happy, growing family!
