Otis and husband Doug Hehner announced their second pregnancy in the sweetest way.
Reality star Jamie Otis and her husband Doug Hehner have been beyond open in sharing their journey to baby with the world. First, they boldly shared an image of their son Johnathan Edward, who was born too early to survive, as the heartbroken parents held him and cried. Otis's message was that her sweet boy deserved to be remembered, not hidden away out of fear that his shocking appearance might offend someone.
You may also remember the moving way Otis honored her angel baby boy, on what would have been his due date, by posting a collage of photos of the happy times during her pregnancy.
Now, she and Hehner have a new reason to celebrate: They are expecting for a second time!
We are PREGNANT!!! Our sweet Baby Hehner is due this August. Of course I share so much more about our little #rainbowbaby with you all on my blog. (Jamie Otis.com/all-things-Jamie ) @people put the sweetest tribute together for our first born son - Johnathan. We love him so much and are so happy to know he's looking down from Heaven taking care of his little sister/brother. ❤️ Thank you @people, for honoring our first born while we celebrate this amazing miracle.💕 Link in bio. #pregnant #preggers #overjoyed #babylove PS forgive me for my unbuttoned jeans. I'm at that awkward stage where I don't quite fill out maternity jeans but I definitely don't fit in my regular clothes. 🤗🎉🙏🏼😍 #sohappy
"Doug and I have been praying and not so patiently waiting to have our rainbow baby since we lost our first born, Johnathan Edward, in July 2016," the Married at First Sight star told People magazine, adding, "We are feeling so blessed and truly thankful for this little miracle growing inside of me. Being a mother has been a long awaited dream of mine. It goes without saying that Doug is going to be the best daddy ever. We cannot wait to meet Baby Hehner this coming summer!"
Otis also took to Instagram to share her happy news, along with a beautiful and colorful photo that both honors Johnathan, and their soon-to-be born child.
Incredibly, Otis found out she was pregnant again on what would have been Johnathan's due date. And according to People, the couple isn't afraid to share their joy over the pregnancy before Otis is officially 12 weeks along. After all, the couple has already shattered social stigmas surrounding pregnancy loss.
