Need a laugh? You've got to check out this expectant mama's parody video of the "pregnant giraffe watch" the internet has been buzzing about.

By Melissa Willets

I remember how at the end of each of my three pregnancies, friends, family, and acquaintances asked me on nearly an hourly basis, "Have you had the baby yet?" And, "Are you still pregnant?"

These questions felt especially irksome considering that no one on Earth wanted me to have those babies more than me!

The world's fascination with pregnant April the giraffe's impending birth has been ironic for many so-pregnant women for this reason. Indeed, they can feel the poor animal's pain as she waits, and waits, and waits for her calf to arrive, and we wait and watch with her.

But no one is feeling April more than South Carolina mom Erin Dietrich. According to Fox 13, the 39-weeks-pregnant mama is expecting her fourth child. So naturally, she donned a giraffe mask and decided to spoof the seemingly-pointless video feed that has been following April's lack of progress.

Her Facebook video parody of the pregnant giraffe watch has garnered 12 million views at time of writing, and inspired countless LOL moments.

I love how Dietrich is wearing pearls with the mask. And her bedroom looks really nice! But I digress. Basically for 7 minutes, we watch as the soon-to-be mom-of-four paces around her room, alternately sitting on her bed, a rocking chair, and then swaying side to side.

But no baby. Yet. Kind of like April.

It's mainly funny because of how true it is. As I alluded to in the beginning of this post, every pregnant woman in her third trimester feels kind of like a ticking time bomb—and like everyone is watching you, and waiting.

So April, we are with you, mama! Even those of us not committed enough to wear giraffe masks.
