So, Janet Jackson is pregnant! The 49-year-old star is reportedly expecting her first child, according to People magazine, and will welcome the baby at age 50, giving her song "Let's Wait Awhile" an entirely new meaning. Reportedly the singer is in her second trimester, after successfully working with a fertility specialist.

It seems pregnancy rumors that swirled after Jackson postponed her Unbreakable World Tour to focus on planning her family with her husband Wissam Al Mana, well, they weren't rumors after all. Speculation started when the singer posted a video to her Twitter account on April 6, announcing there had been a sudden change. "I have to rest up, doctor's orders," Jackson said by way of explaining why she was suspending the tour.

The mega-star has since kept busy posting clips of her new music video, aptly titled "Dammn Baby," which seems to hint that a baby is indeed on the way.

Of course, Jackson herself is yet to confirm the news she is pregnant, so we don't know anything for certain.

If the star is getting ready to welcome a baby, then congratulations! Janet, you are about to embark upon the most wild, yet rewarding "Escapade" of your life. At age 50. Did I mention she is almost 50? Okay, it's amazing. Wow! Got that out of my system.

It "Doesn't Really Matter" how old she is, though. What matters is the love she will give, which I'm sure this talented star has in abundance.
