Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel and husband Vincent Kartheiser of Mad Men are reportedly expecting their first child.
First came the rumor that the long-awaited Gilmore Girls reunion is coming to Netflix. And now we're getting top-secret reports that the show's star, Alexis Bledel (AKA Rory Gilmore), and husband Vincent Kartheiser (of Mad Men) are going to be parents!
According to a source at Celebuzz, the super-private couple is reportedly over the moon about the baby but trying to keep Bledel's pregnant status on the downlow for now. Still, that didn't stop the well-wishers seen congratulating Kartheiser at the Los Angeles premiere of his National Geographic Channel movie Saints & Strangers.
"He's trying to keep it quiet, but he's very happy about the news," said the source.
We really, really hope Bledel and Kartheiser confirm the pregnancy report soon! The duo—who met on the set of Mad Men three years ago when Bledel turned up to play an unhappy housewife who seduced Kartheiser's seedy Pete Campbell for a series of eps—tied the knot in a private California ceremony back in August 2014 and have always been uber-quiet when it comes to their personal life.
Kartheiser's Mad Men posse, however, has had no problem speaking out on the couple's behalf. "I was a supporter of that union," said Jon Hamm at the time. "Honestly, they're a really good match," added Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner. "They're both very down-to-earth, with a sense of responsibility and strong family ties."
Congratulations, you two! We can't wait to meet Baby Rory!
