Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who are already parents to daughter North West, 4, and 19-month-old son Saint, are working on baby #3. A source tells People that although Kardashian and West didn't initially agree on expanding their family, “things have been good for the past few months, and she started agreeing with him [about having another child].”
Kardashian's hesitation stemmed from the fact that after carrying Saint, her doctor warned against a third pregnancy. “After having [19-month-old son Saint], Kim was told she couldn’t carry another baby — that it would be too dangerous — and she was okay with that,” a source close to the couple says. "She was content with two." The 36-year-old mom of two grappled with placenta accreta, a condition in which the placenta grows deeply into the uterus, making it difficult to be separated after delivery, during both pregnancies.
Nonetheless, the source goes onto reveal that "[Kanye] would want a family of five or six if it was up to him." So, like with all parents when it comes to figuring out what's best for their family, it's been an ongoing conversation.
The "Kardashian family insider" reveals what ultimately seems to be compelling Kardashian to seriously consider a third: “Kim was never going to let herself get pregnant again. But she thinks her kids have grown up too fast and misses having a baby in the family.” That's certainly something a lot of moms of two can relate to!
All of that said, the couple have allegedly "found the perfect surrogate" for baby #3. "If things work out with the surrogate, they will be thrilled," the source notes. "But they still have a long road to go.” With hope, everything will work out according to their plan. Wishing them the best of luck with the journey ahead!
