Chrissy Teigen has found herself at the mercy of Internet trolls since admitting on Twitter a few days ago that she plans to hire a night nurse to help care for her daughter, due this spring.

But, true to form, the haters haven't kept the outspoken TV host from dropping another major truth bomb: Teigen, who conceived via IVF, said she bypassed Mother Nature and spun hubby John Legend's sperm to make sure they would have a girl.

"I've made this decision," Teigen told People. "Not only am I having a girl, but I picked the girl from her little embryo. I picked her and was like, 'Let's put in the girl.'"

Props for the honesty, Chrissy! And yeah...science!

Teigen went on to say she chose to have a girl because of how "mushy and excited" men get around their daughters. "It's so cute," she explained.

Can't say I disagree. My daughter is 13, and my husband still breaks into a grin every time she walks into the room—and it's one of the things I love most about him. "Just the thought of seeing John with a little girl. I think he deserves a little girl," Teigen said. "I think he deserves that bond. And this girl is going to be so completely lucky to have John as her papa—it's crazy!"

Awww.

Whatever your feelings are about gender selection, you have to admit Teigen's sentiments are kind of adorable. "I'm excited to see that part of John," she continued. "We've been together so long, and sometimes we look at each other and we're like, 'I know everything about you and you know everything about me,' but we have no idea what we're going to be like as parents. I think it'll be really fun. I'm excited."

Would you choose the gender of your baby if you had the option?
