Blake Lively Thinks Being Pregnant in Summer Should Be Illegal

My kids were born in August and October, which means I was lucky enough to be majorly pregnant with both of them during the height of summer.

And by "lucky" I mean cursed. Because there is nothing worse than walking around with the equivalent of a watermelon in your belly in stifling 90-degree heat and humidity levels to match. Even just crossing the parking lot from my car to the store was enough back then to set me off on a major anger spiral.

Turns out, I'm not alone.

Because while Blake Lively—currently preggers with baby #2 with husband Ryan Reynolds—may look like the very definition of a cool maternity goddess, she apparently totally feels my pain. The actress stopped by "The Tonight Show" last week, where she confessed to Jimmy Fallon that she is struggling big time with the sky-high summer temps.

"It should be illegal to be pregnant in New York in July," she told the talk show host. "I swear I'm going to make my water break just to cool down."

That's an excellent idea, actually. Can't believe I never thought of it myself.

"It's just not normal," she continued. "Everybody says, 'How are you feeling?' But they don't really want to hear how you're feeling. They don't want to sit there while you complain."

Except that I SO do. Because hearing someone like Blake Lively whine about rocking a bump when the heat index is hovering near 100 makes her seem like she's just like the rest of us, you know?

Then again, the "Gossip Girl" alum may be stating a grievance, but she still looks insanely gorgeous here in her Louboutin heels and kinky Ungaro bondage dress with cut-out waist.

Clearly, this is one hot pregnant mama—in more ways than one.
