1 Mom, 2 Baby Bumps: How Diet & Exercise Changed This Woman's Preggo Body
This fit mom's baby bump comparison photos show the difference nutrition and exercise can make during pregnancy.
Check out this photo that 27-year-old fitness model Sophie Guidolin posted on Instagram.
The side-by-side shot features the mom of four showing off her bump during two different pregnancies—the one on the left is from 2008, while the one on the right is from 2015. The differenc emay not look huge, but both of the photos were taken at the same number of weeks—with the BIG twist that in the second shot, Guidolin is actually carrying TWINS!
"Today someone commented on this photo that I posted last year and it truly reminded me how blessed I am to have been able to experience a fit, active & healthy pregnancy vs my first two pregnancies," the Australian mama wrote in the caption. "Both photos are the same gestation of weeks. The photo on the left is ONE baby, the photo on the right is with the TWINS. How crazy is that for a comparison?!?"
"I love a big baby bump as much as the next person," she continued, "however... in the first photo my nutrition was so so poor and my recovery was really long. With the twins, my nutrition knowledge was so much better so I knew how to nourish my body (and babies!) to assist with pregnancy and my bodies [sic] recovery postpartum."
Since giving birth to the twins, Guidolin has been chronicling her journey back to a six pack—and yes, she most definitely has one! "I wanted those mums out there to know that it IS possible," she explained in a recent post. "Being healthy, fit and active is an everyday decision. I know that by making the time to do things that make me feel good inside that in the long run I will feel so much better for it. I choose to MAKE TIME to exercise (I don't 'have time'- I make it) I choose to eat foods that make me FEEL good. It comes down to CHOICE. What's yours?"
