Hi, I'm Dr. Alexandra Sowa, and today, we're going to talk about how to take your basal body temperature. [MUSIC] You may have heard about basal body temperature if you're trying to get Get pregnant. And that's because it's an inexpensive and reliable way to figure out exactly when you're ovulating. Now it's going to take a little bit of work because it actually takes a few months to exactly figure out what's going on. But this is how you're gonna do it. Every morning before you even get out of bed, you're going to take your temperature. You're going to write down your temperature on a calendar. And then over the course of two to three months, you'll figure out exactly when your basal body or your resting temperature dipped. And when your temperature decreases by about a point, that is when you're about to ovulate. Temperature decreases right before ovulation. Action and will increase after ovulation. And so by taking a temperature every day over the course of a few months you'll be able to figure out exactly when you are about to ovulate. Now remember you're going to wanna have sex in the days leading up to ovulation. This is your most fertile period. So you're gonna have sex three to four days before you ovulate and one to two days after And this may help you to get pregnant faster. [MUSIC]
