Pregnancy Pregnancy Complications Is it normal to not feel my baby move at 18 weeks pregnant? By Parents Editors Published on July 2, 2015 Share Tweet Pin Email Q: Please let me know. A: Not feeling your baby move at 18 weeks is completely normal. Certain factors make not feeling movement more likely — such as a placenta that is on the anterior surface of the uterus, making the baby essentially have to kick through a pillow; first pregnancies; and fetal position. I tell all my moms not to try and "count" the baby's movements until at least 30 or 31 weeks as they may not be completely regular until that gestational age.
