From wine slushies to tapas, Disney has proven time and again that they're interested in offering more than the same ol' boring theme park fare. Now, grown-ups who also happen to be beer lovers can look forward to Disneyland opening its first-ever brewery.
Delish.com points out that currently, adults can purchase alcohol at California Adventure and some spots in Downtown Disney, but the Ballast Point Brewery -- set to open before the end of the year -- is going to introduce lots more on-tap choices to the park.
Thrillist reports that the brewery will be 7,300 square feet, featuring a three-barrel "research and development" brewery, a bar obviously, beer garden, and a restaurant that will serve "taste of San Diego" menu options. You'll be able to order Ballast classics, plus custom, limited-edition beers that will only be served at Disney.
“As one of Southern California’s premier brewers, for the team at Ballast Point, we couldn’t be more honored to work with such an icon in our great state and become the first brewer at Downtown Disney,” Marty Birkel, president of Ballast Point Brewing, said in a statement. “We hope SoCal locals and visitors alike will enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, seasonal cuisine, and good cheer (and beer) of our signature tap room experience that we plan to bring to Downtown Disney.”
