Father and Son Prank Mom at Airport With 'Welcome Home From Prison' Sign

We have the feeling there are going to be several repeat offenders due to the viral sharing of this Facebook post.

So much for a warm welcome—one mom by the name of Barbara Nielsen flew home from a business trip to find her son and husband waiting for her at baggage claim. Sweet, right? Well, when Nielsen reunited with her family, her son held up a giant sign that said, “WELCOME HOME FROM PRISON MOM.” We can’t stop laughing at these two pranksters—not sure Nielsen felt the same in that moment.

We weren’t the only ones cracking up, a friend of Nielsen’s by the name of Jessica Williams screenshotted proof of the encounter, posting it to Facebook where 73K people liked and over 120K shared the post.

“So, a friend was gone for a week on BUSINESS and her husband made this sign for their son to hold to welcome mom back! Lmao! I died laughing,” wrote Williams.

Hilariously enough, the original photo Nielsen posted is captioned, “Brandon is a jerk lol this is the sign Daimen was holding when I got off the plane.”

We can only imagine this sign sturred up plenty of side-eyed looks from others waiting for luggage. Poor Nielsen is far from a criminal, just a mom being heckled by the boys in her life. Oh, she was home alright.

As it turns out, a lot of people are shocked they never thought of this one themselves:

Here is to hoping that Nielsen is plotting a major comeback—spreading toothpaste inside their Oreos or filling a donut with mayo may do the trick!
