Picture yourself posing in a bikini less than a year after giving birth. It's sort of a scary prospect, right?

But if you're convinced that models don't understand those body insecurities most moms harbor, know this: Even Chrissy Teigen, a woman with an amazing body and an even more amazing sense of self-confidence, got nervous about shooting her first bikini shots after welcoming her first child.

Luckily though, the experience just seemed to make Chrissy even more comfortable in her postpartum skin.

Chrissy posed in a bikini for Sport Illustrated's SI Swimsuit 2017 issue less than a year after she welcomed her daughter, 10-month-old Luna. According to a video from the shoot, the new mom walked on to set with a few insecurities.

“She showed up telling me she would only shoot one pieces, and if I could throw a blanket over the top of her, that would be great,” the issue's editor, MJ Day, said. “I think she surprised herself on this trip, because I don’t think she was seeing herself quite the way we were seeing her.”

But ultimately, Chrissy knew her body's changes were worth celebrating. “I haven’t shot since baby. But of course you know that MJ and everyone at Sports Illustrated in general is going to embrace your body no matter what’s happening and embrace the changes," she said. "I don’t want to say this to her, but the tinier the suit, the smaller and hotter you look. Ugh, I hate that. I hate that she’s right!”

Day added that Chrissy looked better than ever at the shoot, and we have to agree! Chrissy has always been stunning, but she seems so at peace in her role as a mom, and it really is reflected in these images. Obviously, shooting for a major magazine in a teeny bikini isn't something most new mamas need to think about, but it's still nice to hear that someone like Chrissy understands what it's like to come to terms with your post-baby body.

Being a mom is a lot like Chrissy's shoot in one important way: It's all about embracing the changes.
