12 Celebrity Babies' First Birthday Celebrations
Boomer Phelps celebrated his first birthday in the only way the son of Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps could—with a shark attack themed party! The proud papa took to Instagram yesterday to share a pic of himself with his adorable son and wife Nicole standing in front of an epic likeness of a shark made out of sugar. “First bday party for @boomerrphelps!!!” he wrote in the caption. “What an amazing birthday cake!!” Pretty amazing, right? And peep all those cute blue ocean-themed decorations in the background. We also couldn’t help but notice that the icing punctuating the life preserver on the bottom reads “Boomer’s FIRST shark attack,” or that there’s a big Great White-sized bite taken out of it. Here’s hoping the little guy’s first shark attack is also his last!
Stephen Curry and his wife Ayesha celebrated their daughter Ryan's first birthday at the Four Seasons Resort in Maui, and the couple treated their Instagram followers to some seriously adorable snaps from the trip. The NBA star kicked things off with a gorgeous pic of the little princess all dolled up for her big day in a lei and flower crown. “Special day celebrating Baby Ryan's 1st bday in Hawaii," he wrote in the caption. "Do anything for you baby girl! Happy Birthday! #July10 #chookahchookah.” So sweet! Then Ayesha got in on the action, donning her own flower crown and sharing a whole bunch of beautiful shots, plus an awesome video of the trio getting their birthday hula on! “Such a memorable family vacation and amazing way to spend our little girls birthday,” she wrote. “We had the best time!!!”
Nothing in Nori's life is understated. So when she turned 1, parents Kim Kardashian and Kanye West threw her a shindig that was so over the top, it had its own hashtag, #kidchella. (Think a Ferris wheel, bounce house, themed stages, and an elaborate rainbow cake.)
Even though he's part Disick, baby Mason knows how to live large like a Kardashian. Proof? His lavish first birthday party -- carnival-themed, naturally -- which boasted a carousel, petting zoo, an animal cake and a guest list loaded with his famous family.
Mom Pink may joke that she overindulged during pregnancy -- "I think my baby may be part cheesecake," she told Cosmopolitan -- but she kept things relatively healthy for Willow's big day. The tot was treated to a vegan carrot cake that looked like gorgeous, oversized building blocks and was decorated with images of turtles, lollipops, elephants, bubbles and, of course, musical notes.
Baby Duke celebrated with a Western-themed party that was as elaborate as a Hollywood set. Guests enjoyed a petting zoo, a coloring area, a mechanical bull and a cake fashioned to look like a dude ranch. Bonus: Dad Bill dressed up as a sheriff, complete with a fake mustache.
Moroccan and Monroe Cannon
Joyeux anniversaire, Roc and Roe! To celebrate their first spectacular year of life, parents Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon whisked dem babies to the City of Lights. The parents and their twins got gussied up for a black-tie birthday party. The twins' haul included a rocking horse, mini white piano and toy Ferrari.

Ozzy's granddaughter celebrated her first birthday with a Pinterest-worthy fete, thanks to her crafty-cool mom, Lisa. There was an intricate ruffle cake, vases of fresh flowers, delicately wrapped sandwiches (for grown-ups), and take-out boxes of crackers (for babies).
Hilary Duff's son was so psyched about his birthday that he chased bubbles (and the family dog) around before the festivities even started. Of course, if your first cake was half as cool as this edible robot, wouldn't you be excited?
Kevin Jonas' daughter's glamorous birthday party was befitting a pop royalty princess. The 130 nearest and dearest who attended her bubble-themed bash rode on a toy train and played inside a bubble palace. When the time came for a sugar rush, guests enjoyed her crown-themed, three-tier cake.
Even though his family is fabulously (and famously) wealthy, Joseph Kushner rang in his first year of life like the rest of us civilians. Mom Ivanka Trump and sister Arabella whipped up a couple of cakes using boxed mixes and iced them with luxe-looking fondant and homemade cake toppers. (Seriously, is there anything that woman can't do?)
Busy Phillips believes in low-key parties for babies, so it was no surprise that her second daughter, Cricket, had a mellow affair. The Cougar Town star held the soiree in a park with balloons, a few baby friends -- and this looks-too-good-to-be-DIY Elmo cake.
