As many benefits as breastfeeding provides moms and babies—from protection against allergies to bonding—there's no question that nursing can be challenging physically and emotionally. Nursing moms may feel unappreciated or unrecognized for their efforts. But every now and then, they'll hopefully receive a morale booster, and a viral video shared on the popular Facebook group Breastfeeding Mama Talk captures exactly that.
In the clip, which was shared on Saturday, January 5, a South Carolina Paula Goodwin is nursing her son at a restaurant while he feeds her French fries. Since being shared to social media, the clip has wracked up 2 million views and over 27K reactions.
Commenters have weighed in, wishing that their L.O.s would do the same for them. One wrote, "Ugh. My kids never fed me. Maybe because I dropped to much food on their heads. 😂This is so cute." Another shared that she appreciates when her partner does this for her, writing, "Literally I’ll come home from work and feel so famished! But I need to feed baby first, so I’ll be feeding him and sometimes hubby will feed me simultaneously." A third shared, "My son had started ‘feeding’ my boobies, stuffing food down my shirt! lol"
Not only is it heartening to see how "awesome" Goodwin's "adventures in breastfeeding" have been, but by sharing this heartwarming clip, she's undoubtedly providing inspiration and reassurance to fellow breastfeeding mothers everywhere.
