January 10, 2019
Attention all big and little superhero fans: Marvel’s Day at Sea is back on the Disney Magic, sailing from Miami to the Bahamas and Western Caribbean on certain five-night cruises from January to March 2019. The superhero experience happens when the 2,700+ passenger ship is in open waters. The fun gets started at 8 a.m. (for your kid whose superpower is always waking up before you) and runs until the clock strikes midnight!
Little ones will love the character sightings, as Star Lord, Thor, Black Widow, and more walk around the decks. You’ll also receive a reserved time for photo-ops with Spider-Man, Black Panther, and Iron Man. The superheroes gently guide kids on how to strike a pose. (Cue Instagram, now!)
The day also features three special shows. Doctor Strange: Journey into the Mystic Arts has a lot of fun special effects while the Mickey and Friends Super Hero Celebration (the whole gang dressed in superhero costumes) will get kids dancing on the deck. After dinner, families will have a blast at the Marvel Heroes Unite deck show, starring more than a dozen Marvel superheroes and villains. It even ends with an awesome fireworks display!
In addition, Disney developed Marvel-themed activities tailored to different ages. Disney’s Oceaneer Club, for children ages 3 to 12, features superhero crafts and games. Kids can even train to become secret agents—whoa! Older kids will love to learn how to draw Marvel superheroes at the Animation Academy. Family trivia, movie screenings, and a costume celebration are also must-dos.
Sailings depart on January 6, 11, 20, 25; February 3, 8, 17, 22; and March 3 and 8. Think of what a hero you’d be if you booked this trip for spring break!
