This holiday season, you can get a free Starbucks drink on Mark Ruffalo—he won’t be there to buy it for you, but let’s not get hasty. The actor and activist channels the holiday spirit every year by creating a pay it forward incentive, and this year he chose to purchase a $100 gift card to Starbucks and shared the barcode on Twitter for anyone to access.

Along with the gift, Ruffalo encouraged anyone who used the card to add money to it so that the gift has long term value that many can find beneficial.

He also called on his fellow celebrities to join in the theme of giving and open up their own gift cards to share. Robert Downey Jr. and Zendaya where quick to respond.

The gift giving wasn’t limited to Starbucks, Ruffalo also released a Barnes and Noble gift card and a Fandago gift card for those looking to read a new book or go see a movie.

What a wonderful way to bring people together while spreading joy amongst strangers. If you check out Ruffalo’s Twitter page you’ll find he retweeted multiple gift cards open for the public, as well as his own. Make sure to check them out to see if any of them still have value. When treating yourself, don’t forget to treat someone else by paying it forward.
