For the eighth year in a row, Jimmy Kimmel is challenging parents to get the best of their kiddos with his Halloween candy prank. Everyone loves it so much that Kimmel says it has become a "cherished Halloween tradition." The best part is that it doesn't take much to participate.

All you have to do is:

1. Tell your kids you ate all their Halloween candy and record their reaction.

2. Upload the video to YouTube with the title, "Hey Jimmy Kimmel, I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy"

3. Keep an eye on your messages to see if the show reaches out to you.

Here are just a few of the most-watched responses from this year and the past several years that are hilarious and also, you know, a little bit heartbreaking. Channing Tatum even got in on the action!

Here's hoping all the kids affected by the great Halloween candy prank of 2018 are rewarded with a sugar fix—and lots of laughter!
