The year's must-see holiday cinematic debut is none other than the hilarious, heartwarming, and visually stunning Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch. Universal Pictures’ adaption of the classic Christmas tale is brought to life impart to the brilliant work of Benedict Cumberbatch (Grinch), Kenan Thompson (Bricklebaum), Cameron Seely (Cindy-Lou Who), Rashida Jones (Donna Who), and Pharrell Williams (narrator) along with a long list of other vetted actors and actresses.

Thanks to directors Scott Mosier and Yarrow Cheney who worked in collaboration with writers Michael Lesieur and Tommy Swerdlow, this iconic story of a cynical grouch out to destroy Christmas is reimagined unlike ever before while still holding true to the powerful themes of forgiveness, compassion, and generosity.

“For our film, we really tried to go back to the source. We didn’t want our movie to be an amalgam of the different Grinches we’ve seen over the years. We wanted to tap into Dr. Seuss’ original story and let that guide us,” director Yarrow Cheney told Parents. “We love making our audiences, and ourselves, laugh and this story gave us plenty of opportunities to crack up. But it’s also maybe our most heartfelt and personal film. It’s a story about a joyless, broken-hearted person who is transformed by kindness. The Grinch discovers real friendship and joy, and we get to go on that journey with him.”

Clearly, we are in for a treat once The Grinch ignites our holiday spirit when it arrives in theaters nationwide on November 9th.
