J. Crew Just Teamed Up With the Metropolitan Museum of Art for Its Most Artistic Kids Shirts Yet
For the last few months, families have had to experience beloved cultural institutions like zoos and museums virtually because of the novel coronavirus. But, slowly and surely, things are starting to open up again—with new social distancing and face mask regulations in place, of course. These reopenings happened just in time to celebrate one major museum's 150th anniversary: The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City reopened last month at the end of a five-month closure, and it's celebrating with a very cool clothing collaboration.
The MET teamed up with J Crew's kid collection, Crewcuts, for a special 150th anniversary t-shirt. Actually, the brand released three t-shirts to celebrate the museum: an Arms and Armor t-shirt, an Ancient Egypt t-shirt, and a Degas Ballerina t-shirt. The tees pay homage to the famous museum's permanent exhibit and have unique touches that make them totally kid-friendly.
The shirts cost $40–$45 each, and the proceeds will support the museum's collection, study, and conservation. As an added incentive, the ballerina shirt is currently 40-percent off with code ADDTOBAG. Parents love the collection, and one reviewer writes, "This t-shirt has so many quintessential NYC references that made me smile. I loved sharing each detail with my son and can't wait until I can take him back to The MET."
Since the shirts are limited-edition, they're likely to sell out, so grab yours while you still can. You can also shop other adorable clothes from Crewcuts here.
